The silence can finally be broken. I have finished university; there are no more essays to write. During my absence I have still, however, been buying and trying lots. So as my first post back I thought I would share with you a few products that have become my staples in the trying times of dissertation writing!
When I first purchased the Estee Lauder Enlighten EE cream you'll remember that my thoughts weren't 100% there yet towards this. However, after a good month of testing I have to say I love this cream. Whilst it is a very light coverage, for me it is just perfect as an everyday base. As it says, it really evens out the skin tone to create a natural and even base.
I'm not sure if I'm embarrassed to say this but a lot of essay writing has meant a lack of hair washing. There was just not enough time to wash it every other day, I'm sorry. But to avoid scaring people in the library with my greasy locks I decided to try Ruth Crilly's COLAB dry shampoo. I wasn't expecting a lot from this but after ALOT of use I'm seriously impressed and have since bought the bigger size bottle. As a brunette this is definitely worth it for there is NO talcum powdery whiteness. I was able sometimes to go 4 days without a hair wash... (insert monkey face emoji here).
My skin has changed in this stressful time away. I would no regard myself as a combination-oily gal and so I had no choice but to invest in a powder. After reading a lot of raves about it I chose the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder. Not only does this product smell amazing (seriously, it's like a tropical juice) it does a wonderful job of sorting out my shiny t-zone.
I returned back to an old favourite with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion. Just a quick swoop on my cheeks seemed to perk my complexion right up, hiding my lack of sleep.
After recommending the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks to my lovely friend stylegirlscout and hearing her love for it I decided to give them a try myself. I choose the shade Happy Nude Year and can now finally understand the love for these lipsticks. They are so creamy and, with the help of a few top ups, seriously last all day. I think I would almost have to say these are better than the Nars Matt Lip Pencils…I think!
