Lush Christmas

Its this time of the year when a Lush bath is essential. This year I've chosen the Christmas Penguin and Hedgehog and, and old favourite, the ButterBear

The Christmas Penguin and Hedgehog . The Hedgehog makes your bath shimmery and your skin super soft thanks to the ingredients of shea and coco butters. I think he might be my new favourite. If you're not looking for bubbles however, I would recommend butterbear for an intensely nourishing and sweet smelling bath! All of these products are vegan friendly - not that I'm a vegan but it's nice to know you haven't got anything nasty and unfriendly in your bath!

What are your favourite Lush items?

Essie Winter Collection

If you follow me on instagram then you will know that I was a rather happy girl the other week when I bought two Essie polishes and was treated to a free gift! Three small little nail polishes that make their Winter Collection. (Unfortunately the link isn't on the boots website anymore, but I know it's still in store.)

In the midst of writing essays I use my breaks to make the crucial decision of what am I going to have on my nails for Christmas Day. I know, a big decision in my world!

At the moment I am experimenting with a candy cane (sort-of) effect. The shades from the collection I have used are Jump in my Jumpsuit, a perfect Christmas red, with the gorgeous Christmas gold Jiggle hi Jiggle low. Aren't the names just fab!

Although I've enjoyed wearing this I think I've got a better idea for Christmas! Watch this space as I will reveal all next week! What are your favourite Christmas polishes?

The REN Facial

The Ren 1 Minute Facial has been on my wish list for a while.  After a month of trying and testing I'm ready to share my thoughts.

I had quiet a few pre-conceptions towards this product and after first use I really was quiet surprised at how wrong I was. The formula is rather unusual - it's thick, with a gritty texture yet it's also little oily. It's main ingredient is Vitamin C so you apply it to your dry face and then use a little bit of water to activate. Then, of course, leave for 1 minute. I'm a sad one here and I watch the second hand on my watch before washing off, I prefer to splash my skin rather than use a muslin cloth with this product.

I usually follow with a hydrating toner and then follow with my moisturiser. I've found that it really does rejuvenate my dull complexion. I've found that my skin looks much healthier and it's also helped to get rid of some pesky blackheads! I prefer to use this in the morning for an instant wake up call.

If you're looking for an instant product then I would seriously recommend this.

November Favourites

The majority of November has seen me hidden away in the library researching and writing essays. As a result my blog has had a bit of a neglect and my favourites this month are somewhat limited.

The skin savour of November has to be the Omorovicza Queen of Hungry Mist. As the cold weather has taken its drying tolls on my skin this has just become an everyday essential. It is a hydrating toner enriched with rather fancy (and expensive) minerals that really do help give my skin that extra moisture. Cleanse, spritz, serum, done.

The issue of "dryness" continues on with the lips. Who doesn't suffer with dry, chapped lips this time of the year?! Of course I have to reach for the number one lip balm: Nuxe Rieve de Miel. This stuff, I think, works as an exfoliator and a moisturiser. It works so quickly that using this multiple times a day has seriously solved the lip pains. A handbag hero.

There's rarely a talk about hair on this blog. I have to admit when it comes to hair I am not a pro, but that's another story. After an embarrassing trip to the hair dressers in october I decided to take better care of my dry locks. The Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Intense Rescue Balm has seriously left me noticing results. A hard balm in the tub, rub between your fingers to create an oil, smooth through the locks, leave for 20 minutes and then wash with shampoo and conditioner. My hair has looked shiner and felt so much healthier and stronger.

After a lovely care package from home I received a special request of MAC lipstick in Plumful. Desire after watching Lily Pebbles' vlogs this has been no disappointment. As a lustre formula it leaves a subtle amount of colour and sheen. I have loved wearing this when I've gone for a natural-barely there make up look with a splash of plum on the lips. Seriously recommend this if you're a brunette like me.

Last on the list is a return to an old favourite: the Chanel Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in 14 Mystic Eyes. The bottom right shade is my favourite kinda brown, shimmery and subtle and is such a dream to apply. I don't bother with anything complicated, just a swish of this all of the eye and job done.
